The Story Of Avanti Parshwanth Tirth - Jainism Facts.
1. Once Acharya Shri Arya Suhastisuriji Maharaj came to this town with his large group of disciples and stayed at Bhadra Sethani's vehicle school. At night, Acharya Bhagwant's disciples described the Nalinigulm plane.
The description was so poignant that even a good man could live without it. At that time, Avantisukumal, the beloved son of Bhadra Sethani, was sitting on the seventh floor and listening to the description of the Nalinigulm plane shown by the disciples of Guru Bhagwant. Hearing the interesting and vivid description, Avantisukumal was shocked. The wave of his inner mind began to hit. This hearing shattered some of the bonds of his ignorance and immediately Avantisukumal was enlightened by the knowledge of caste.

In the knowledge of caste remembrance, Avantisukumal saw happiness in this Nalinigulm plane in his past.Happiness in the world of death seemed very insignificant among those unhappy happiness. Avantisukumal's love for worldly pleasures disappeared. Avantisukumal, who had a soft limb and was immersed in the complete happiness of the world, felt that this world was useless. Now he was ready to become Jain monk .Mother and wife can't stop it from his decision to became monk.

And that same night Avantisukumal became determined to take the path of restraint. At midnight, he broke the shackles of the world and accepted the path of restraint. Avanti Sukumal Muni received the order of fasting from Gurudev. Avanti Sukumal Muni came to Kamparik Kund outside the town and stood at Karyotsargadhya and fixed the distance mind in adoration. Avanti Sukumal had attained Param Samadhi.

The night was running. At that time this sage's tender and beautiful body was eaten by the hungry fox with his cub with such cruelty. And this creature, which had made mistakes from the Nalinigulm plane, crossed the peak of Sadhana and reached the Nalinigulm plane again.
The next day, when the worldly mothers and wives of Avantisukumal Muni got the news of this Muni's Kaladharma(Death), the lamp of asceticism was lit in the heart of them and 36 souls except one pregnant wife took the path of Pravrajya(monk).

On the other hand pregnant wife gave birth to a son named Mahakal.
From the teachings of Shri Arya Suhastisuriji Mahakala In the memory of his father, he built a magnificent Temple(Jinprasad) on the banks of the river Kshipra. In the memory of Shri Parshva Prabhu Avantisukumar, who was revered in this Jinalaya, he became world famous by the name of 'Shri Avanti Parshvanath'. Since this Jinalaya was built by Mahakal, it also came to be known as Mahakal Chaitya.

2.Years passed in the flow of time. In the time of King Pushyamitra, this Jinalaya was transformed into a temple of Mahadev and this temple became famous by the name of 'Mahakal Mahadev'. The incident remained intact for a long time.
The speed of time cannot be stopped. The rule of Maharaj Vikramaditya came. During his reign, oatmeal flourished everywhere. At this time, in the heart of Muni Kumudchandra, a learned disciple of Acharya Shri Vriddhavadisuri, the code for translating the scriptures of Ardhamagadhi, Prakrit language into Sanskrit was awakened. He presented his own Sanskrit recitation of Shri Namaskar Mahamantra to his Gurudev. Gurudev was saddened by this act to his disciple and said that the stars of the scriptures composed by the great men of the East have been disregarded by this act.
So the Guru made him the officer of 'Paranchit Prayashchit'. According to this atonement, Kumudchandra Muni returned in the guise of Avadhut and guru gave her task that he has to make 18 kings Jains and then only he can returned to meet his guru.

Sage Kumudchandra accepted Guru's orders and felt that he had committed a heinous crime. These sages came to Ujjain town in the guise of Brahmins in the guise of Avadhut. They stayed overnight in the Mahakal temple and slept near sage Shivpindika. Early in the morning a devotee saw a sage sleeping like this. The devotee spoke to some of the men of the town and the people gathered at the Mahakal temple. All the sages began to try to wake up. But what if the sage wakes up? Thus all attempts failed and the people complained to King Vikramaditya. The king ordered that Avadhut's body be whipped. But Avadhut does not move or move .. On this side, the condition of the queens became miserable due to the blow of the whip on the yogi.

King Vikramanaditya felt this divine miracle. He immediately approached Avadhut and apologized. The king requested Avadhut to know the secret of such strange behavior. Then Avadhut composed Mahamangalkari Kalyanmandir Stotra. As they recited one verse at a time, the statue of Mahadev disappeared while reciting the eleventh verse. In his place, the beautiful jinbimb of Shri Parshvanath Prabhu appeared.

After that, the sage told the history of this Jinalaya to the king from the beginning. From this divine event, King Vikram got rebuttal and converted to Jainism. Under Maharaj Vikram, 18 other kings also became Jains. Thus the intellectual Suri reintroduced this sage living in Avadhut country who had a wonderful rule in his Kutch and praised Maharaj Vikramaditya Muni by the name of 'Shri Siddhasenadivakar'.

In this way, this ancient Jinalaya of Shri Avanti Parshvanath, which was transformed into a Shiva temple, resounded.
This pilgrimage is spreading its influence from years to years and even today the flag of this pilgrimage is flying with joy and witnessing a bright history.
