The glory of Shankheshwar is due to the very ancient idol. For many years, the influence of the old side idol of Lord Shankheshwar keeps resounding. The history of the world famous pilgrimage in the name of Shankheshwar is more than 87000 years old. Let us know the history of how this shrine was built with the inspiration of Nemikumar, the fire of Krishna Maharaja's faith and the grace of Padmavati Mataji.

Shankheshwar Parshwanath Mahima

In the time of Mahabharata, a great battle took place near Senapalli village near Saraswati river in Wadhiyar country in the northeast corner of Dwarika city. A fierce battle took place between Dwarkadhish Krishna Vasudev and Maharaja Ninth Prativasudev Jarasangha of Rajgruhi. The fierce battle between Vasudev and Prativasudev started on the banks of Saraswati. Both kings were strong, powerful. The Jarasangha had the backing of all the princes of the Bharat region and the legislators of the Vaitadhya mountain. While in the party of Lord Krishna there were 54 Kulkoti Yadavas, Pandavas, many kings and legislators. Nemikumar also joined the army for the purpose of following Krishna's justification, sense of responsibility and prudent guidance.

As soon as Indra realized this, Indra sent his charioteer Matali with divine scriptures and a chariot to the battlefield in the service of Nemikumar. The battle between the two maharathis continued for a long time. In the powerful army of Lord Krishna, Bhima, Arjuna, Sahadeva, Baldev etc. were fighting in such a way that the army of Jarasangha was falling back against it. Seeing this, Jarasangha resorted to deception. Krishna's army crossed the Jarasangha's experiment of Jaravidya. Under the influence of this learning, Lord Krishna's army became afflicted with disease and old age. Thus Krishna's warriors became powerless to fight.

Only three persons could not be affected by the slightest power. Nemikumar, Krishna and the third person Baldev. Encouraging Krishna, who was depressed and depressed at the sight of his entire army, which had become completely powerless and decrepit, Nemikumar said

Krushna Attham

This is the epidemic of Jarasangha used by Jarasangha. So there is no need to be discouraged. In the building of Nagraj Dharanendra, the statue of Parshvanath Prabhu filled with old Ashadhi-Shravak is being worshiped. Achieve that idol by pleasing Dharanendra Padmavati, sprinkle its bathing water on this army, then the youthful energy will start bouncing in the whole army.
During these three days, Nemikumar took the responsibility of taking care of the army in his own hands. In this direction, Jarasangha fell with his fellow kings on the army of Lord Krishna, which was weakened by the experiment of Jarasangha's Jaravidya.

At that time, sitting in the chariot sent by Saudharmendra, Nemikumar shouted. The army of Jarasangh became frightened by the horrible sound of conch shells and started fleeing. Nemikumar fired a terrifying arrow with short-sighted art. From the year of the arrow, the crowns, earrings, umbrellas, weapons, etc. of many kings fell on the ground. Nemikumar blew up the enemy army without any casualties. Nemikumar properly defended the army for three days.

The three days of (Atham tap)was completed by Shree Krishna. Bhavanapati Nagraj Dharnendra is pleased with the sadhana of Shri Krishna. He commanded Padmavati to fulfill the desires of Lord Krishna and Padmavati appeared before Lord Krishna and offered the ancient and supernatural idol of Lord Parshvanath. After that, with great devotion to Lord Krishna, the idol of Lord Parshvanath celebrated Snatra MahotsavShri Krishna sprinkled water on his emaciated army. The army woke up with new vigor and enthusiasm. An envoy of the enemy gave the news to Magadheshwar Jarasangh. Hearing this news, Jarasangh trembled. Jarasangha arrived on the battlefield with his huge army.

Shri Krishna ordered his army to fall on the enemy army and started a fierce battle again. Baldev killed 28 sons of Jarasangh in the battle. Lord Krishna sent the remaining 41 sons to Yamasad. Then Lord Krishna and Jarasangh came face to face. After a struggle, Jarasangh left his last weapon Sudarshan Chakra on Lord Krishna. But the chakra made three revolutions of Lord Krishna and that chakra went straight to Jarasangha. This beheaded Jarasangh. Mangadheshwar Jarasangh was killed. Jarasangh fell on the battlefield.

Krushna Shankheshwar Parshwanath Tirth

Then Lord Krishna shouted in the joy of victory. The sound of the conch could be heard about 87000 years ago, but its echoes have not been heard yet. The city of Shankhpur was established at the place where Shankhanad was performed. After that day by day the splendor of Shankhpur town started increasing. The above miracle of Shri Shankheshwar Parshvanath Prabhu spread like wildfire in all four directions. Therefore, people from home and abroad started coming on this pilgrimage and began to consider themselves blessed by seeing Shri Shankheshwar Parshvanath.
